How it stared in Bluerank?
The mentoring program at our company was first introduced in 2020, with the first two editions taking the form of time-limited programs.
At the beginning of the program, participants were trained in the basics of mentoring. In addition, mentors learned the main development techniques they could use during the sessions.
The mentoring processes lasted 12 months and included 8 to 10 meetings in pairs. During the two editions, some 20 mentors, mentees and mentors came through the program.
On-going mentoring program
After the first two editions, the program formula changed. To meet the expectations of the team in 2023, we introduced an on-going formula – better suited to the dynamic work environment.
The mentoring program in the current formula has no beginning and no end. It is also free of predetermined stages. Bluerank employees can join it at any time – both as mentors and mentees.
Thanks to the use of a dedicated mentoring platform – Mentiway (more on this below), mentees joining the program see a catalog of available mentors and can choose those who will be able to respond to their needs.
Mentiway mentoring platform
Since the beginning of the new formula, mentoring at Bluerank has been supported by the Mentiway platform, which perfectly secures the needs of the on-going form of the program.
Employees who are interested in the program can register on the platform at any time and complete their profile by specifying their development needs. They then gain access to a directory of mentors and mentees. This allows them to immediately check their availability, as well as compare the proposed scope of support with their own development needs. A huge advantage of the Mentiway platform is also the training aspect for participants. Since the entire mentoring process has no beginning or end, implementation workshops are also not available. The Mentiway platform takes over this task by providing participants with a comprehensive knowledge base, videos and other content that seamlessly introduces new mentees, but also new mentors and new mentors to mentoring.

About mentoring
Finally, a few words about what mentoring is at Bluerank – how we understand it and what benefits it brings to participants.
Mentoring is a process in which a person with less experience in a chosen field (mentee) learns about his or her resources, learns, gains experience and practice getting support from a person with more experience (mentor/mentee).
The process is carried out during mentoring sessions, has a beginning – contracting the relationship, setting goals, as well as selected milestones, and an end in the form of evaluation.
